HI. HEY. HELLO.
I'm Katrina LaJiness!
Most importantly, I am a wife and mama to a sweet little girl named Laila. Family is my everything! It wasn't until I had my baby when I realized how precious ALL stages of life truly are. And how time is the biggest thief! I find so much joy and honor when documenting your moments, because I know how important they really are.
What started as just a hobby is now a major passion of mine. To be honest, I had never "planned" on becoming a photographer. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. And have been down many avenues in my professional life including operations manager, project manager assistant, human resource director, personal trainer and now photographer. But there was always something missing - creativity and connection.
When I am not behind my camera or desktop you will most likely find me in the mountains! Hiking, mountain biking, jet skiing, wake surfing, fishing, or chillin' on a sandy beach somewhere in the PNW with my crew (Laila and Josh). If I am not there, I will most likely be cleaning something or crossing off a crazy task on my to-do list. I take pleasure in organization and simplicity.
During my sessions, I ensure you there will be lots of joy, laughter and candid moments. My sessions are family (or couples) centered. I want you, my subjects, front and center at all times. I will guide you through a mix of authentic and staged poses that allow me to capture your love and connection as it is. Naturally, those beautiful in-between candid moments unfold organically. This is how I achieve natural, timeless images.
And yes, I will throw out goofy jokes, excessive compliments and have a smile on my silly face the entire time.
To capture you for life. To create a meaningful connection. To serve you as best as I can. To be friends. And to document your love, just the way it is.
Katrina recently did our family pictures and we were totally blown away by all of them!! Not to mention her personality and energy was absolutely amazing. Our kids adored her, which made taking a pictures with her a breeze!! We will definitely be doing this with her again for many years to come!! -Carrie T.
